Hi all,

I'm fairly new to BlogEngine and I'm currently having a problem with commentview control. I'm hoping someone would help me to solve this one because I have spending quite sometime on this. What I want to do is:
1. Make commentview to display comments only and not to enter a new comment.
2. Enter comment feature will be provided on another page. Users need to get authenticated before entering comment.

If someone could give me any suggestion on how I can implement this changes because I am having problem to put all the classes in a class diagram (would be helpful if someone can provide the class diagram on both blogengine.core and blogengine.web)

Many thanks,

for # 1, you can have multiple options.

Method #1
On Post screen you can uncheck "Enable Comments"

Method #2
Set disabling comments from settings tab of admin page.

Method #2
Inside "User Controls\CommentView.ascx" change the visible property.
<asp:PlaceHolder runat="Server" ID="phAddComment" Visible="false">

Thank you so much for your reply ! I really appreciate it.
I am using Method 3 from your options.

For the second question, I thought that I would create another folder and place a web.config to restrict the access. However, since I want to also maintaining the theme, I am not sure which how to pass the Page object from the default page.

Any clue?
