WLW Web Preview Not Showing Style

Feb 10, 2008 at 8:58 PM
I'm using WLW with my BlogEngine.Net blog, http://www.farseergames.com/blog

All seems to be working fine except the web preview does not apply my blog's style sheet. It just shows the entire post as though NO style sheet was applied.

If I choose "Update Weblog Style", in WLW nothing indicates an error but the style still does not show up.

Can anyone point me to in the direction to fix this? Where does WLW look for the style sheet?

I've also already posted this to the WLW forums but thought I'd cover all my bases and see if anyone here has seen this before.

Thanks,

Jeff

This seems really similar to the problem I'm having on my blog, http://pietschsoft.com. People have reported to me that when they view my blog, some in IE7 and others in Firefox 2, they don't see the style sheet getting applied. This is being difficult for me to figure out a fix for since everything appears as normal to me.

Anyone else had this happen? Anyone have a work around?

There is the same problem for my blog, http://www.vehicleworld.cn . Sometimes my blog can't show the normal page formated by .css file when I am viewing it by Maxthon(IE 6.0.2900).

I think it's the cause of computer cache in the beginning. Now this seems really surprising.

Anyone else had this happen? Anyone have a work around?

BTW, my blog version is BlogEngine.NET 1.30. The selected theme is the Standard.

Thanks,
Boxer

Unchecking the checkbox "Trim stylesheets" in the settings area solved the issue of displaying the page without stylesheet in some browsers.

A similar problem could also be caused by installing BlogEngine.NET on IIS7, because the css.axd httpHandler configuration in web.config is different for IIS7. See this thread for instructions on how to fix ithttp://www.codeplex.com/blogengine/Thread/View.aspx?ThreadId=21124.
