httpHandlers installation problem

Yesterday I've created a new site for myself (yay!) and decided to host it on I've downloaded and uploaded it to the web.
After the files had been successfully transferred, I went to the default.aspx to see my blog for the first time... This was the first time I realized it's not gonna be a fun ride :-/

The problem is - the text shows, but no style or image is working, nor the link to the posts.
Clicking on the "Welcome to BlogEngine" out-of-the-box post title leads to a 404 error.

I've looked at the code and I understand that all of my problems are connected to the httpHandlers that, for some reason, don't work... support team knows to handle minor issues and I think that this might be over the top for them... Has anyone run into such a problem? maybe even on

Some more info:
1. I tried to run the site on my local IIS - works great.
2. I've told them to check on the IIS manager, that an axd mapping exists and the "Check if file exists" checkbox is unchecked. They told me it was indeed unchecked...

I've created a simple web project with a simple httpHandler and uploaded it to the server in order to check if it's an httpHandler problem.
I've found out that the server kind of ignores http handlers or something because when I tried to use the handler (visiting a test.axd page) all I got was a 404 error.

Does anyone know what could be a reason for a server to ignore http handlers use? I want to help the web hosting support so the fix time will be as quick as possible...
