Hello All,

Just submitted my first Fork.  Would like you to check it out.

Links to Fork   PageLinkMenu

Allows the user to Name the page, Linkname, and where to put their pages made in BlogEngine.

View it live and more info here: http://www.blogengine07.info/

It is pending approval.  Will update on the status of it.

In the mean time check it out live and tell me what you think?  If you like to test drive it yourself before downloading it

send me an email at Kbdavis07@yahoo.com I will create you an account to login with to test it out if you like.

Any feed back would be great.

This is not the final product just a proof of concept for right now.

Hope you find this useful,

I looked at the screenshots and description.  It's a good idea and looks like it works well.

We probably won't be putting it into BE in the near future since we're trying to get a Release Candidate ready and are refraining from putting in new features.  But that doesn't mean you or anyone else can not add it to their own installation.

BenAmada,

Thanks for your comments.

I known it was too late for the Release candidate I got behind in releasing the code.

But, after BE 2.0 release Candidate would it be included?

If so it gives me more time to fine tune it for another folk pull.

Thanks,

That's true ... it's something that can be added after BE 2.0 is released.  So you can remove your pull request and continue working on it ... and then later submit the pull request again.

Will do

Thanks,

I think there is a PageMenu WebControl available now with BE created by Rtur, you can use it without any extra efforts, Just add

<blog:PageMenu ID="PageMenu1" runat="server" />

 in your master page.

you can check the post of creating this menu and how it works here http://rtur.net/blog/post/2010/09/16/How-to-convert-theme-to-BlogEngineNET-part-4.aspx

and this is a demo of the CSS menu used http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex1/ddsmoothmenu.htm

Its not completely the same.

Its for adding an hierarchical CSS menu to BlogEngine.  It does not control the file name, where to put it and etc.

Check out the screen shots of the PageLinkMenu in the EditPages, aspx

http://blogengine07.info/

PageLinkMenu lets you control where the menu goes  when you create the page.  You do not have to go back and hard code in your

links.  You can not select where to put it.  Like the Header, Left side , right side, or the footer.

http://rtur.net/blog/page/CSS-Page-Menu.aspx

But, it is some what the same through.

Differences:

1. You can pick your file name

2. You can pick a different "text Link" text than the title of the page.

3. You can choose where to put the link Header,Left side, Right Side, or Footer.
