Admin CSS files return 401 error

Hi -

I'm working on deploying my first BE blog (2.0 RC). On the live server (2 server cluster - IIS7) I'm getting errors on the Admin side where the CSS files won't load - they return a 401 unauthorized access error. Unfortunately without the CSS files some actions can't be performed (like added a new user because the modal popup never displays).

I've been struggling with this for days.

I've tried added <location>s to the web.config in the admin similar to the /Account/ web.config files but that doesn't work. Myself and IT have tried a bunch of things and it doesn't seem to be working. The .js files seem to load and the front-end blog runs. I've also tried enabling/disabling the compression for HTTP, .axd, .css and nothing changes

I just don't know what to do to troubleshoot this anymore and I do realize it could be an IIS issue as opposed to a BE issue.

BE 2.0 RC, IIS7, .Net 3.5, Running as its own application inside another app, separate App_Pool, same user as the rest of the 10 or so websites on the server.

Thanks for any help,
