New Ported Theme and Help with Tag Cloud

I have ported a wordpress theme for a learning experience and would like to get some feedback on it.  You can find the site here: http://www.techlearningblog.com/

Also, I would appreciate it if someone could look at the Tag Cloud and assist with the proper CSS.  I am trying to get rid of the bullets and extra spacing but the tag cloud setting are being overridden by CSS further up the chain or at least I think that is the case.

element.style {
}
/*Matched CSS Rules - this is what firebug found*/
#sidebar div.widget li {
background: url(http://www.techlearningblog.com/themes/moffeynow/images/bullet.png) no-repeat;
border-bottom: 1.5px solid #eeeeee;
font-size: 11px;
padding: 7px 5px 7px 25px;
}
.widgetzone .widget ul li {
margin-bottom: 3px;
}

/*this is the tag cloud settings. how do I get the backgroudn image to not display and the padding to to not kick in*/
.tagcloud li {
background: none;
border: none;
display: inline;
list-style-type: none;
padding: 0px;
text-decoration: none;
}

OK.  I have fixed my CSS issue but would still like your feedback.

Looking good, just minor things you might want to keep working on to push it to perfection. Like post header may be too big with left margin too close to the date, button in comment form probably fixed sized so text does not fit, may be on that cloud widget don't do font increase on hover because it is a little jumpy etc. But a lot of it is just what you personally like or dislike, so don't do whatever somebody suggests, including me :)
