Tweaking Standard Theme--Adding logo

In the Standard Theme site.master, I added a png image to the header, sized it down appropriately, and placed it at the left border, to the left of the Blog Name.

However, the image does not show—only a place holder, on the browser.

<div id="header">

    <p><a href="<%=Utils.AbsoluteWebRoot %>"><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Name %></a>

        <img alt="Biafras waving Biafran Flag" class="style1" height="150px"

            src="img/BiafransWavingFlags.jpg" width="204px" align="left" /></p>

    <span><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Description %></span>

  </div>

 How can I get the image to be displayed by the browser?
Thanks, as always, for your help and dedication.

Set "img" tag to run on server and use "~" to indicate application root. So it should be something like:

<img runat="server" src="~/themes/my-custom-theme/img/BiafransWavingFlags.jpg" />
