Custom aspx pages no longer work

Oct 23, 2011 at 2:20 AM

Hi there,

With version 2.0, I had a Resume folder with my custom Default.aspx and Default.aspx.cs files derived from BlogBasePage. Navigating to /Resume would show that page.

After upgrading to 2.5, navigating to /Resume just brings up the main page (e.g. / ).

Is there a way to fix it?

Rename the page to resume.aspx  and resume.aspx.cs

and then move it to the root directory.

Seems Like BE 2.5 can't have more than one default.aspx page within the site?

Ya..even i had the same issue when i was trying to integrate my existing website with BE 2.5.

It took over all my custom pages even if they were not inherited from BlogBasePage.

I could not find a fix and hence resorted to using BE 2.0. It works as you want it to be.

Let me know if kbdavis07 solution above works.

kbdavis07, that would make the URL /resume.aspx and unfortunately I have already told tons of people that my resume is located under just /Resume

Is there another workaround?

Redirect the URL with the SEO Redirection extension.
