MediaElementPlayer - How to use?

Newbie question:

How do I use the MediaElementPlayer in a post or page. I wish to upload my mp3's and then have the player play them for users on the web page.

Not sure where to begin.

Create "media" folder in the root of your site and drop some pm3's there.

In the post, add this in the place you want player to show up:

[video src="myfile.mp4"] for video

[audio src="myfile.mp3"] for audio

When post loaded, you should see media player instead of bracketed markup.

I am using this syntax with BE 2.7, but no joy with audio (haven't tried video). I'm having a dickens of a time figuring out the parsing of this string within BE.Core, though I've only just started down the rabbit hole.

The [video] placeholder needs to be in a <p> tag to get properly parsed. however, not all is well yet. It looks like only HTML5 browsers are working properly - IE8 and below all do not render a player. I assume that I should nave fallback to flash/silverlight as per the current MediaElementPlayer documentation.

Any assistance appreciated.
