Slow load times for latest change set [ 2e79c7936957 ]

Hello,

Noticing lots of changes to BE since the last time I check the code changes.

QuickNotes

DotNetSlave.BusinessLogic folder renamed to BlogEngine.Core

scripts and styles now compressed and combined

Really good work!

But, its still slow with the javascript loading through.

I am getting this PageSpeed Score:

Page Speed Score of 70 (out of 100)

High priority issue is the Enable compression

Compressing http://standard.kbdavis07.info/.../combined_84E98A66101F61CF1DDE468102B1... could save 83.5KiB (65% reduction).

Now using BE 2.5.0.15 I get the following:

Page Speed Score of 92 (out of 100)

High priority. These suggestions represent the largest potential performance wins for the least development effort. However, there are no high priority suggestions for this site. Good job!

  • Medium priority. These suggestions may represent smaller wins or much more work to implement. You should address this item next:
    Leverage browser caching

I have just set up two websites:

http://standard.kbdavis07.info/   (Has the latest code set  2e79c7936957)

http://pro.kbdavis07.info/         (Has BE 2.5.0.15 with custom code BE Pro Edition)

The standard site is giving the low Google Page Speed test score.

Check out the Tests yourself:

Standard Page Speed Test

Pro Edition Page Speed Test

Just wondering if any one is aware of this and are currently working on this issue?

Thanks,

Brian Davis

It's work in progress. I replaced built-in compression with Squishit providing both compression and combining scripts/styles, but there are lots of optimizations has to be done to get it right. Don't panic just yet :)

I figured it was a work in process :)

Just wanted to be sure.

I am not panicking yet.

But, whats done so far looks great through!

I like the notes feature good job done.

Thanks for replying Rtur.

Have a good day,
