Change title url

Sep 23, 2008 at 3:52 AM
I'm integrating the blog with an existing site. I don't mind the Home link in the blog navigation menu to stay in the blog, but I would like the Title URL of the blog to go to the main site. Where can I change this? Do I need to work with the source code or is there some sort of template where I can change this.

Thanks,
Adrian

The easy way is in your theme file, open the site.master and where it says something like:
<div id="header">
    <h1><a href="<%=Utils.AbsoluteWebRoot %>"><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Name %></a></h1>
    <h2><%=BlogSettings.Instance.Description %></h2>
  </div>
Change <%=Utils.AbsoluteWebRoot %> to where you want it to go.

hi, i'm interested in doing this too... my question is
where you've said "Change <%=Utils.AbsoluteWebRoot %> to where you want it to go."

would mine look something like this then?
<%=Utils.www.shellbeans.com %>      ...? is this what you mean?

thanks

Just a regular link should work fine like
<a href="http://mywebpage.com"></a> or <a href="homepage.aspx">

I found the real problem...the theme I had set didn't really follow the standard. Several things were broken in it so I just put the standard theme back and then I was able to find where I wanted to put the link.
