How to determine BlogEngine.net Version

Hello there,

How can I determine what version of BlogEngine a client's website is running? I have access to all files, but I can't seem to find it easily.

Log in as Admin.

Go to any admin pages and look at the very bottom like this:

The screenshot above is from the dashboard page.

If for some very strange reason they have taken that out of their admin pages then just add the following code

<%=BlogSettings.Instance.Version() %>

To the site.master page

That will display the current version of the website.

This is what it looks like at this second. I'll try adding that code and see what happens.

EDIT: Oh wow, that's a much newer interface. I'm pretty sure this is an OLD version.

EDIT 2: 1.2.0.0

I'm fairly sure there is no upgrade procedure for a version this old....

Yep thats pretty old. To far for an "upgrade" :)

Best to start off fresh with a new install.

But, before doing that make sure that your client's current webserver has asp.net 4.0 through.

You can demo BE 2.8.0.0 the newest version of BE here:
