Hi,

Currently I am trying to use the extension ExcerptImages that is in the gallory.

The issue with that are the following:
  1. I want to assign an image per post with out having the image showing in the actual post.
I have a field for this already in the New Post editor:

  1. I also want the image that is assigned to each post to also show up in the relative posts at the bottom of each post.
Wondering if any one else came up with a solution to this already?

Or if some one knows how to do this please let me know.

Thanks,

Brian Davis

BE does not support custom fields in posts or pages. This probably would be a nice feature but not sure if many people really need this. Without it, you would have to either implement this on your own or do some kind of a hack, modifying edit post page to pass this box value to your custom component, which will save it along with post/page ID.

Hi kbdavis,
I think you could try this trick with CSS: add to Global.css (or your theme CSS) this code
.posts div.post img.noimgpost {display:inline}
div.post img.noimgpost {display:none;}
and then you must add manually class="noimgpost" to your image that you want to show in postlist using Excerpt but don't like to show in actual post, eg:
<img src="your/path/to/image.jpg" class="noimgpost" />
