If I'm not mistaken all you have to do is open the App_Data\users.xml file and look for the Admin username that you can't find the password for and deleted the section in between the <Password></Password> field then restart the blog. It resets to the default password. I'd make a backup of it first before trying.

Hi, hope you can help. I did this...

<User>
<UserName>Admin</UserName>
<Password></Password>
<Email>post@example.com</Email> <LastLoginTime>2007-12-05 20:46:40</LastLoginTime>
</User>

restarted through resaving config...

but after login did not give me full administration privileges,,, just my profile and change password. To view my profile it just sends me to re-login and if I change password its still no different, doesnt grant me access to dashboard ect.

Thanks for any help

I simply added Admin to roles.xml and all works fine again

Does your blog use the XML Provider or some other DB based provider?
