Could not load type 'PeterKellner.Utils.CaptchaTypeHandler'.

i'm using godaddy as a hosting agent, and i have multiple domains under one hosting account.  i'm getting: Could not load type 'PeterKellner.Utils.CaptchaTypeHandler'. when i try to run the site.  it runs fine locally on my machine, but not on godaddy.  any ideas??

You probably have that handler defined in the <httpHandlers> or <handlers> sections in a web.config file somewhere else on that site (probably in a parent folder).

Once you find it in one of the other web.config files, you can exclude it from loading within the BlogEngine (BE) web.config file.  If the handler in the other web.config file is defined something like:

<add verb="*" path="captcha.axd" type="PeterKellner.Utils.CaptchaTypeHandler"/>

Then depending on how it is defined in the other web.config file, in BE's web.config file, you can add the following line at the top of the <httpHandlers> section:

    <remove verb="*" path="captcha.axd" />
    ..... existing BE handlers ......

your the man.  i just realized the site being hosted in the root had that peterkellner handler in it.  thanks a million.
