Hi

I am looking at upgrading from BE 2.8 to BE 2.9. I see the steps to do it manually(it does not look to bad) but I saw there is an Updater utility and though "might as well try it as I am all about saving time."

I am just wondering which steps does it replace? To me it looks like it replaced alot of folders and some I am questing if it should have.

For instance after I ran the utility I looked

To upgrade from 2.8, use /Setup/SQLServer/MSSQLUpgradeFrom2.8to2.9.sql

but could not find it. It seems like the Updater replaced that entire folder with the folder from BE 2.8

I probably will do it manually as now I am not sure if I can trust the app but still curious about it.

You can look at the code and see exactly what it does (https://beupdater.codeplex.com). Which is basically moved your data and custom code under new version.

Weird. I don't see anything about it updating the Setup Folder.
