Theme issue with Windows Live Writer

I've setup a blog for my client and I want to let them edit and post using Windows Live Writer. I know this is supported and I'm trying to get it working properly on my system prior to telling my client to get it setup.

I'm using the "Refresh Theme" function in WLW but it doesn't seem to be working quite right. The main issue is the background color for the outer area of the site is being displayed in the content area instead of a plain white background. Also, font sizes are off for various basic elements (p, H1, H2).

The skin I created is a variant of the indigo theme. Has anyone figured out any tricks, limitations, or workarounds with the "Refresh Theme" functionality between blogengine.net and WLW?

Thanks!

Sorry to say I don't have an answer for you. I just wanted to add that I am also having problems with the Theme. In my case, I enabled the flag Enforce the use of SSL when communicating with the MetaWeblog API. I get no errors I just get no Theme. If you figure it out can you post your solution here please?

Just an update. If I switch to non-SSL themes seems to work fine.

I found my problem. I am using a self-signed certificate for our site and we are using a *.mysite.com type of certificate. We can access the site in 2 ways: mysite.com and www.mysite.com. Because we are using a *.mysite.com certificate the former DNS is not valid whereas the latter is. Therefore, if I use https://www.mysite.com/blog instead of http://mysite.com/blog the theme and registration all work fine. So, my case is a cert issue and not the engine itself.
