Look at standard theme, it has related posts added. If theme does not have it, then standard control used.

Files from "AppCode" compiled and not distributed to web server. If you need to make changes or examine those files, you need to download source version.

I don't understand. Please write in your language, I'll try to translate.
Or.
  1. Copy /custom/themes/standard/relatedposts.aspx -> /custom/themes/yourtheme/relatedposts.aspx
  2. Modify as you want.

How did you add in 2.9? It was extension or custom code, BlogEngine does not add images to related posts.

BlogEngine adds links to related posts. To do something else, like add images, there 2 methods:
  1. Write code to do it.
  2. Use code written by someone else.
    If you used extension in 2.9 that added images, let me know what it was. If it not yet converted to 3.0, I will do it.
    If it was custom code, not much I can do.
