Hi Shailesh,

Currently BE as-is does not have any Email Verification system yet.

You can add Discuss as your Comment system and they handle all of the spammers for you.

But, I notice with Discuss it often loads very slowly through even on different platforms like WordPress and etc.

I believe that BE really needs an Email Verification system :)

Which hopefully will be added some time soon.

Hi Shailesh,

There is a confirmation code sent to retrieve a password.

This can be modified for anonymous users.

Can do the following:
  1. If user is not logined, have pop up for them to enter in their email.
  2. It sends them an email with a confirmation "link" that would allow them to make a comment.
  3. On Server side, It can save their IP address and etc to compare it before they send the comment to make sure they had confirmed their email first.
Keep it server side for only a few mins, after that anonymous user would have to redo the email confirmation.

Can also store it locally in user Cookie or HTML5 Session Storage in some sort of format, base64,MD5, and etc so user can not edit it on their end to have a false confirmation.
