I have been trying to find the fields of the table and where the data stores but so far i have been unable to find it out and understand the whole project (blogengine.net).

Can somebody please explain it and make me understand it briefly the way data flows and the way database connectivity works?

Thank You.

Hi Aroranirav,
  1. BlogEngine.Net by Default runs on XML for data storage. So unless you install the Database set-up scripts you are not going to see any tables :)
XML files are stored in the

/app-Data/ Folder
  1. With XML or Database the connectivity is basically the same.
  2. Receive posts and settings from a data source.
  3. Save that to the application pool (In-Memory) App_Pool
  4. After first load, all other requests are coming from the App_Pool and not the data source until the App_Pool is reset.
Which occurs every 20-30 mins of Website inactivity.

Then it goes through the steps 1 and 2 again.

Is there something specific you want to know about?

Have a great day!

Thanks a lot for the reply but the problem is, I am a beginner and completely unknown to the xml database connectivity. I need to see all the tables inserted well and field names. I don't know how to set-up scripts for it. I want all this information as soon as possible...
