Where does the "Post" object get its value on CommentView.ascx?

On the CommentView.ascx page, where does the "Post" object get it's value?  I'm having an issue in which I click on a link for a particular post but I keep getting redirected back to the home page.  It turns out that the Post object in CommentView.ascx is null, even though it shouldn't be.  My problem is the first 2 lines in the Page_Load of CommentView.ascx:

 (if(Post == null)

Response.Redirect(Utils.RelativeWebRoot);

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've made a few changes to the BE code so I'm afraid I may have inadvertently created this problem but I"m not sure where.

The natural path after I click the link seems to go through Post.aspx, followed by PostViewBase.cs, & finally CommentView.ascx.

Any idea how the "Post" object should be getting it's value on that CommentView page?

Thanks.

Anyone know?  I'd greatly appreciate any help or suggestions on this as I'm currently at a dead end.

Thanks again.
