Switch from dasBlog

Aug 10, 2009 at 9:03 AM

Hi

I currently have a blog at http://blog.eliasen.dk which uses the latest version of dasBlog.

Is there a natural, easy and understandable migration path from dasBlog to BlogEngine.NET?

Oh yeah, and can I use Windows Live Writer for BlogEngine.NET?

Thanks!

Yes, you can use Windows Live Writer with BlogEngine.NET.

Thanks - that was great information.

He migrated successfully, which is nice, but how about keeping old links. I suspect that their exists thousands of links to my blog around on the internet, and I would hate for those to stop working. Some form of redirect would be really nice.

Any thoughts on this?

I moved quite a few blogs from dasBlog to BlogEngine.net and am so very glad I did. BE is much better all the way around.

 Thanks, Allen.

What did you do about other site having direct links to your posts? How did you migrate those?
