I have a BE with arthemia theme from I have around 160 posts and now my homepage take very long to show.

I follow the instruction on this thread to edit the code in PostViewFrontPage.ascx.c, but look like his code gives a lot of error. Does anyone use arthemia theme and can solve this issue?

how many posts are set to display on the first page under the recent posts section right below the headline? if its more then 10 or so I would say maybe take that down. Also make sure http compression is enabled under settings

Hi, thanks for the reply. I set 8 posts/page and http compression is enabled.  On this thread, they said that there is something wrong with the PostViewFrontPage.ascx.cs, but I am not very good at coding to fix it. I really like this theme because it looks professional.

I do enjoy it as well, thinking about making the "headline article" more of a slideshow so it goes through all the featured articles.....send me a link to your site. let me see how slow it loads see if I can see anything

I am trying to work around with 3 lines of code that cause the speed issue. I try to disable these 3 lines of code, and the homepage works fine. But then I can't control the headline anymore. We are testing now, so my site's still in Intranet.
