Steps to deploy BlogEngine.NET 2.0 to Azure:

  1. Download BE 2.0 web application solution: http://blogengine.codeplex.com/SourceControl/network/Forks/rtur/BeWap20
  2. Add an azure project to your solution and create a web role for the BE site
  3. Create a web database in azure.
  4. Execute sql creation script: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1037491/blogenginezaure.sql
  5. Publish azure project
  6. Log on and switch comments to Disqus

Alternative solution:

Using fork https://hg01.codeplex.com/forks/exhd/wapazure

  1. Setup Folder has the SQL you need to Execute
  2. AspReg folder has the SQL for Role/Providers/Common
  3. Just run the solution, then Publish and Upload

First solution doesn't work, alternative solution does. Need install MVC 3 and include a bunch of dlls. Since BlogEngine doesn't work in cloud with XML data store, you can use this tool by Al Nyveldt(http://nyveldt.com/blog/page/BlogEngineNET-Provider-Migration.aspx) to migrate your existing blogs in XML to db. Thank you very much, EXHD. good work!
